| Solution of a High molecular weight block copolymer with pigment affinic groups |

The high molecular weight Disperbyk®-168 deflocculates pigments through steric stabilization of the pigments.
It provides electrical charge to pigments and thus avoids possible co-flocculation of pigments that are not equally charged.
Due to the small particle sizes of the deflocculated pigments, high gloss is achieved and color strength improved.
Additionally, transparency and hiding power are increased.
The additive reduces viscosity, subsequently, levelling is improved and higher pigment loading is possible.
Disperbyk-168 is especially recommended for the production of UV-flexo und UV-offset inks.
It increases gloss and transparency.
Disperbyk-168 shortens dispersion time, lowers viscosity and increases color strength. |
