Disperbyk 111 |

Copolymer with acidic groups |
|
Wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings to improve pigment wetting, reduce the time required for the grinding process and stabilize the pigment dispersion. Deflocculation of the pigments stabilizes hue and color strength and prevents flooding/floating. The additive strongly reduces viscosity and improves gloss and levelling of the coatings. Disperbyk 111 is suitable for stabilizing inorganic pigments, in particular titanium dioxide, and strongly reduces millbase viscosity. It reduces haze in inorganic pigmented coatings when application occurs by electrostatic spraying. Disperbyk 111 is primarily used in automotive and industrial coatings and for the production of pigment concentrates. Because of its anionic character it is ideal for acid catalyzed systems (e.g. coil coatings). A combination with pigments stabilized by the Disperbyk-160 family is possible without any problems. |
