The additive deflocculates pigments through steric stabilisation of the pigments.
Due to the small particle size of the deflocculated pigments, high gloss is achieved and colour strength is improved.
By using Disperbyk 109 the colour acceptance of medium to non-polar paint systems is distinctly improved.
Disperbyk 109 can also be post-added to the paint system, however, this should be done before the addition of the colour pastes Disperbyk 109 is preferably used in coatings based on long oil alkyd resins and thermoplastic acrylates to disperse inorganic pigments (titanium dioxide and extenders). |
