100% active polysilicone polyether copolymer, used to control foam in diesel fuel. DOW CORNING 22617 Diesel Antifoam is a 100% active polysilicone polyether copolymer. DOW CORNING 22617 Diesel Antifoam is designed for use as an antifoam and defoam agent for diesel fuels, and can work both in an end-user's additive package and by itself in diesel fuel. The excellent antifoam properties of silicones are related to their low surface tension and their ability to disperse rapidly throughout the foaming system. DOW CORNING 22617 Diesel Antifoam exhibits the above properties in fuels to a greater extent than dimethylsilicones, resulting in increased antifoam efficiency. It will also remain a pourable liquid down to 0'C (32'F), assisting in cold weather processing. DOW CORNING 22617 Diesel Antifoam efficiently controls foam in diesel fuel pumping operations. Its use results in more rapid and complete filling of tanks. Any foam that forms collapses quickly, regardless of the presence of water in the fuel. |
