50% active, amino methoxy functional polydimethylsiloxane in solvent.
Ingredient in detergent resistant auto polishes and cleaners.
Some formulations benefit from the use of DOW CORNING 531 Fluid and DOW CORNING 536 Fluid, while others make use of DOW CORNING 531 Fluid with DOW CORNING 200 Fluid.
Chemically, DOW CORNING 531 Fluid is a double functional polydimethylsiloxane.
The highly polar nature of the aminofunctional groups and the ability of the siliconfunctional methoxy groups to cure cause the polish film to deposit and adhere strongly to automobile finishes, chrome and aluminium surfaces. |
