Consisting of pure cellulose acetate, ESTRON acetate yarn is available in bright and dull lusters.
Solution-dyed colors are marketed under the trademark CHROMSPUN acetate yarn, having the same generic composition as ESTRON yarn except for coloring agents added at the dope stage before the yarn is spun.
This process, known as dope-dyeing or solution-dyeing, generally affords much better fade resistance than normal dyeing methods which take place after the yarn has been spun.
