BYK 156 |
Emulsion of foam destroying polysiloxanes, hydrophobic solids and emulsifying agents |
Dispersant for emulsion paints and aqueous systems to reduce the time required for the grinding process and to stabilize the pigment dispersion. It improves gloss and levelling. BYK 156 does not stabilize foam and can be used as the sole dispersing additive in gloss and semi-gloss emulsion systems. In tinting systems, it achieves (in combination with a wetting additive such as Disperbyk 181) good color acceptance. BYK 156 is stable over a pH-range of 4-10. BYK 156 is only available on the North American market. In other countries use BYK 154 instead which differs only in solid contents. |
