BYK 154 |
Solution of an ammonium salt of an acrylate copolymer |
Dispersant for emulsion paints and aqueous systems to reduce the time required for the grinding process and to stabilize the pigment dispersion. It improves gloss and levelling. BYK 154 does not stabilize foam and can be used as the sole dispersing additive in gloss and semi-gloss emulsion systems. In tinting systems, it achieves (in combination with a wetting additive such as Disperbyk 181) good color acceptance. BYK 154 is stable over a pH-range of 4-10. BYK 154 is not available on the North American market. Use BYK 156 instead which differs only in solid contents |
