Silicone defoamer to prevent foam and bubble formation arising during paint production and application in non-polar to high polarity solvent-based systems.
BYK 085 improves the surface properties of coatings, with particular emphasis upon levelling, increases surface slip and thus improves scratch and mar resistance.
Formation of Beard cells is prevented and orientation of flatting agents is improved.
BYK 085 does not cause dewetting or defects in intercoat adhesion when recoated.
BYK 085 is the solvent-free version of BYK 077 and is used especially in systems in which solvent-free additives are requested or where a special solvent requirement exists. |
