BYK 071 displays its optimum defoaming properties during production, filling and application of coatings.
Best defoaming action is achieved in low polarity wood coatings.
In high polarity wood coatings, BYK 141 is the recommended defoamer.
BYK 071 does not cause turbidity in wood coatings and is even suitable to defoam "wet-look" systems.
Additionally it improves levelling and partially increases surface slip.
In curtain coating application, BYK 071 does not cause instability of the curtain.
The product also improves the orientation of flatting agents, leading to a more even flatting effect. |
