| Emulsion of hydrophobic components and paraffin-based mineral oil |

Mineral oil defoamer for emulsion paints, emulsion plasters and emulsion adhesives to defoam during production and application.
The defoamer is stable upon storage, resistant to yellowing from ultra-violet radiation and does not influence color acceptance and color development in tinted systems.
BYK 031 is silicone-free and used in highly filled emulsion paints with a PVC of 50-85%.
For optimum incorporation, relatively high shear forces are necessary.
For new formulations BYK 032 is recommended instead of BYK 031 because it is easier to ncorporate. |
