The defoamer is very effective during the production and application of aqueous coatings. It does not influence color acceptance and gloss. Due to its high activity, BYK?018 has to be incorporated under high shear forces to avoid cratering.
BYK?018 is especially suitable for pigmented emulsion systems based on styrene/acrylate, acrylate or acrylate/polyurethane combinations with a low PVC. In industrial emulsion paints that are applied by dipping, flow coating or airless spraying, BYK?018 is very effecient against microfoam. |
