NPG (Molten)
NPG glycol (neopentyl glycol or 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-propanediol) is a highly reactive, yet thermally stable, chemical intermediate.
In molten form, NPG glycol is shipped in heated and insulated stainless steel tank trucks.
Molten NPG glycol will normally arrive at the customer's plant in solidified form.
Steam should be applied to the coils as soon as possible and the trailer should be vented so the material can be melted for unloading.
