CAPRYL ALCOHOL

CAPRYL ALCOHOL is a unique C8 secondary alcohol with the synonyms: 2-octanol, methyl hexyl carbinol or secondary octyl alcohol.
It can be used as a possible alternate for 2-ethylhexanol or isooctyl alcohol in the reparation of diesters and monomeric and polymeric plasticizers.
Capryl alcohol also finds uses as a frother in mineral flotation.
