BENTONE 38 additive is an organoclay (tetraalkyl ammonium hectorite).
COATINGS : Interior and Exterior Paints,Varnishes,Tube Colors,Mastic Compounds,Epoxy & Polyester Resin Systems /Imparts sag resistance with impairing flow and leveling. Controls flooding and floating of colors. ,Prevents excessive penetration of liquid vehicles into porous substrates.
CONSUMER PRODUCTS : Anti-Perspirants,Skin Cleaners,Eye Shadow Gloss,Hydrophilic Ointments,Lip Gloss and Lipstick,Non Systemic Pharmaceuticals,Suntan Gel /Elevates melting point and controls syneresis while maintaining soft texture. Assists in emulsion stabilization of water/oil emulsions. Is lustrous in gel form and gives a smooth feel to the cosmetic. Ideal suspending agent for aerosol systems.
GREASES : Medium to High V.I. Mineral , Oils,Synthetic fluids of Medium to Low Polarity / Inhibits syneresis and increases resistance to melting. Worked stability. High temperature stability.
