Pentrex G |
|
Pentrex G is a pentaerythritol ester of rosin which provides superior tackifying action to synthetic and natural rubber applications. Highly compatible with the more non-polar elastomers like EPDM, butyl, natural and SBR. The maleic modification aids EPDM tack and adhesion properties. Pentrex G may be used to: - provide building tack for ply-up applications - provide wetting action for filler/rubber - speed up incorporation time of mineral fillers - provide cohesion of the compound matrix - reduce compound viscosity at process temperatures - reduce "nerve" for natural rubber compounds - improve rubber to metal/fibers interaction/bonding - provide tackifying action for adhesives and hot melts Pentrex G may effectively be used as an economic alternative to "C5 type", terpenes and various other tackifying resins. Dosages range from 5 to 30 phr for highly loaded compounds. Pentrex G is approved for use in FDA applications per Section 177.2600, CFR Title 21. |
