EPON Resin Custom Solution CS-286 is a bisphenol-A/epichlorohydrin type epoxy resin thinned to 80% weight in an equal weight blend of Methyl Isobutyl Ketone (MIBK) and Xylene.
This product, a lower molecular weight version of EPON Resin 1001F, can be sub-stituted for an EPON Resin 1001F type resin solution at 80% weight on a pound for pound basis to yield two-package type epoxy coatings with reduced volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Coatings manufactured from EPON Resin Custom Solution CS-286 will exhibit all of the outstanding features of a EPON Resin 1001F based two-package epoxy/polyamide coatings with the additional benefit of formulating coatings with 2.5-2.8 pounds per gallon VOC depending upon the curing agent incorporated in the formulation.
