EPON Resin 874-CX-90 is a solution of EPON Resin 874 cut to 90% weight in a 1:1 w/w mixture of methyl isobutyl ketone and xylene.
EPON Resin 874 is derived from standard Bis-A epoxy resin but the resin backbone is modified to improve flexibility and to lower the solution vis-cosity.
This product does not contain reactive diluents or benzyl alcohol.
With this modified epoxy resin, the VOC content of your coatings can be significantly reduced.
EPON Resin 874 was designed as a replacement for standard resins in epoxy/polyamide systems, with little or no sacrifice in coatings performance, depending on the formulation you use.
The VOC improvement is achieved without the need for any changes in your man-ufacturing process or equipment, or your customers¡¯ application methods.
