Anitoxidant 1024 |
|
Antioxidant 1024 is a non-staining, high molecular weight, hindered phenolic antioxidant/metal deactivator. Its primary applications include deactivation of catalytic metals and improved properties in polymers exposed to ¡°sour¡± gasoline. Extraction resistance in fuels and oils is excellent providing antioxidant protection in immersion, dryout and aging testing. Antioxidant 1024 finds application in EPDM, crosslinked polyethylene, nylon, polyacetal and nitrile polymers. The metal deactivating function of Antioxidant 1024 provides better end-use heat and light stability (less discoloration) by deactivating metal catalyst residues present in many polyolefins and other polymers. Heat resistance and metal deactivation can be improved further by combining Antioxidant 1024 with a synergistic antioxidant like Antioxidant 58 or 60. |
