Accelerator TBzTD |
|
Akrochem TBzTD has been developed to replace thiurams such as TMTD in cases where the presence of harmful nitrosoamines is of concern. The dibenzylnitrosoamine is not carcinogenic, according to published literature. TBzTD is a fast curing primary or secondary accelerator and sulfur donor in NR, SBR and NBR applications. It is safer processing than TMTD and thus does not provide the curing activity(i.e. state-of - cure is lower and rate-of-cure is slower) of TMTD. Modest changes to the curing package (higher levels of elemental sulfur) can overcome this. In CR, TBzTD is a retarder when used with ETU. |
