COLLOIDAL ZINC OXIDE

NYACOL DP5370 is designed for use in a variety of UV absorption applications, such as plastics, glass, sunscreen formulations, textiles, fibers, etc. It has been shown in the.laboratory to be equivalent to current commercial grades (large particle size - greater than 1 micron) of zinc oxide in UV absorption across the measured wavelength range of 190 - 400 nm. However, Nyacol's unique product with its small particle size is translucent in the visible light range.
Laboratory samples of DP5370 suspended in water, mineral oil, isopropyllactate, and octylsalicylate have been made.
