CASAMID 876
CASAMID 876 is an alcohol soluble polyamide resin designed for use in general purpose flexographic and gravure printing inks.
Modification with nitrocellulose is required for optimum performance.
CASAMID 876 has similar properties to CASAMIDS 873 & 874, the two general purpose workhorse resins in the Thomas Swan range of non-reactive polyamides for inks and lacquers.
However, for optimum performance, higher levels of nitro cellulose are required with CASAMID 876 than with CASAMIDS 873 & 874.
Water resistance, gel recovery and ester tolerance are excellent, which together with the low odour make CASAMID 876 suitable for food packaging inks.
