Antimony Synergist
Smokebloc¢çAZ-27 flame retardant additive is a formulated synergistic system combining a high loading of antimony with other inorganic materials. This system provides excellent dispersibility and cost performance results for LOI, UL94 and other vertical burn tests.
Zinc Smokebloc¢ç AZ-27 is a cost effective antimony oxide mineral silicate complex that provides excellent dispersion, reduced tinting strength and equal flame performance in vertical burn tests compared to standard antimony trioxide. Antimony oxides are proven flame retardant synergists for a wide range of polymeric systems when used in conjunction with a source of halogen. In rigid and plasticized PVC Compounds, the addition of controlled amounts of antimony synergists will confer excellent flame-retardant properties. In other plastics, paints, paper and textiles which do not contain halogen, a suitable chlorinated or brominated compound must be added with the antimony synergist in order to obtain the required flameretardant properties.
The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling. Store the product in a cool, dry, wellventilated area away from incompatible materials. Unless stated, proper storage will permit usage of the product for 6 to 12 months from the date of receipt.
