Durad 598B |
|
Heavy Duty EP/AW Additive and/or Basefluid - Durad 598B is a highly stable non-corrosive phosphate ester product that performs extremely well in high temperature metalworking applications. - Durad 598B is an oil soluble extreme pressure/antiwear additive that can be used in mineral oil or synthetic base oil formulations. It can also be emulsified to create water based metalworking fluids that cost effectively replace chlorinated EP compounds. - Durad 598B bonds with metal surfaces to form a friction polymer that lowers the coefficient of friction and protects against welding and scuffing at film temperatures as high as 700¡ÆC. A 1% treat rate is recommended in the final product for optimum performance. - Durad 598B can also be used as a highly stable, fire resistant basestock for demanding applications where low volatility, long life, and safety are of importance. - Emulsification Requirements: PRS-198 can be diluted into mineral oil, and then emulsified by standard techniques, or, can be emulsified directly with the use of standard surfactants such as Polysorbate 80 (Tween 80-ICI Chemicals) in a 1:1 ratio. |
