Base 401
Sulfurized additive
BASE 401 is a sulfurized hydrocarbon of high sulfur content and activity.
It is an economical source of sulfurized extreme pressure additive for formulating heavy duty machining and grinding fluids.
Having a high content of both active sulfur and total sulfur, BASE 401 is an economical source
of a sulfurized extreme pressure additive.
It is recommended for those applications where active sulfur is not detrimental to tools or dies and will not stain metals.
It is not generally recommended for dies containing high levels of cobalt or for copper and its alloys.
