OMYACARB 1T is a surface treated version of OMYACARB 1, one of a series of beneficiated, high calcium limestone products produced by Omya, Inc.
OMYACARB 1T provides an extra fine ground product with an organic surace treatment.
In plastics the employment of OMYACARB 1T results in improvements in impact resistance in PVC.
OMYACARB 1T has applications in polyolefins, and in plasticized flexible PVC where its use allows increased filler levels through lower plasticizer absorption.
In caulks and mastic products the very low oil absorption of OMYACARB 1T allows for high filler levels with low viscosity.
The hydrophobic surface provides improved package stability in moisture sensitive compounds.
