OMYACARB 1
High Calcium Limestone
OMYACARB 1, one of a series of beneficiated, high calcium limestone products produced by Omya, Inc., has an extra fine particle size, exhibits good brightness and low oil absorption characteristics for its fineness.
Its narrow particle size distribution and closely controlled top cut result in a quality extender.
In plastics, OMYACARB 1 allows increased filler levels with improved tensile and impact properties in materials such as rigid PVC
OMYACARB 1 in coatings may be used to advantage as a low cost replacement of hydrous clays for semi-gloss latex.
With proper formulation, OMYACARB 1 maybe incorporated instead of delaminated and calcined clays in interior flat, including high sheen, latex paints.
OMYACARB 1 is an important product for coating and filling paper because of its high brightness, fine particle size and low abrasion properties.
