MONTANA Sodium Antimonate |

MONTANA brand Sodium Antimonate is a white free flowing free flowing granular powder containing 80% antimony pentoxide or approximately 60% antimony. Alternate forms of this material are offered for chemical intermediate purposes containing approximately 53% antimony pentoxide, or approximately 40% antimony. The processing method insures these products will contain essentially no arsenic, lead, iron, or other metals. Chemical Intermediate: Sodium antimonate hexahydrate is used for the production of colloidal antimony pentoxide used as aflame retardant. It is also used for the production of extremely high purity antimony metal and subsequently high purity antimony trioxide. Flame Retardant Applications: When used with a halogen, usually chlorine, sodium antimonate is a fire retardant with very low tinting characteristics. As such it is used in plastics, paints, fiberglass resins, and various textile goods. |
