| Dark-colored, high-boiling, aromatic oils used as plasticizers/extenders in compounding natural rubber and a number of synthetic rubbers. They are efficient softeners that help reduce modulus and hardness, and increase elongation of rubber compounds. According to ASTM designations, MOBILSOL 30 is a Type 101 oil, and MOBILSOL 50 and MOBILSOL 90 are Type 102 oils. MOBILSOL 30, 50, and 90 oils are used with styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and other synthetic rubbers as extenders and processing oils. |
