Silicone levelling additive with defoaming action.
It improves the surface properties of solvent-based and solvent-free coatings, with particular emphasis upon levelling.
Causing only a slight surface tension reduction, in contrast to most silicone additives it does not stabilize foam and can even impart defoaming action.
BYK-322 increases surface slip and thus improves scratch and mar resistance.
Formation of B?ard cells is prevented and orientation of flatting agents is improved.
BYK-322 is a silicone additive which is thermally stable at baking temperatures up to 250'C / 480'F.
Coatings containing this additive can normally be recoated without any loss of adhesion. |
