ELVALOY HP resins are a new family of modifiers designed to improve the quality and extend the useful life of articles fabricated from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compounds. ELVALOY HP resin modifiers (HP refers to High Performance) are an extension of the Standard ELVALOY 741 and 742 grades. They enhance the performance of PVC compounds by providing outstanding permanence, thermal stability, and flexiblity. ELVALOY resins provide the following advantages in PVC over liquid plasticizer: , Low Extraction--largely unaffected by soapy water or nonaromatic hydrocarbon solvents. , Low volatility--essentially zero volatility at 70C (158F) , Low Migration--no migration from vinyl compounds on contact with asphalt, lacquered or plastic surfaces such as nitrocellulose and polystyrene.
