Amorphous Polyolefins (APO) and amorphous copolymers of propylene have a long history of successful use by the adhesives and plastics industries. The benefits of APO in the adhesives, caulks, and sealant industry include excellent tack, high filler tolerance, broad compatibilities, and ease of compounding at relatively low cost. These same benefits are obtained at low concentrations (usually <10% by weight) in plastic and elastomer compounding applications.
