CPW-100 and CPW-100-HS are 100C softening point, chlorinated paraffin waxes containing 70% chlorine by weight.
These products are useful in rubber and plastic compounds as a very efficient flame retardant and in addition functions as a plasticizer and extender. They are an excellent source of chlorine as a synergist with antimony oxide in flame retardant systems.
CPW-100-HS is recommended for high temperature applications, such as extruded polyolefins. CPW-100-HS contains a special antidegradant for improved resistance to discoloration on prolonged exposure to high temperature processing conditions.
CPW-100-HS is available in 50 mesh powder form only. |
