CLARIFEX clarifiers effectively reduce haze and yellowness, imparting a clearer, whiter appearance to polypropylene homopolymers, ethylene-propylenecopolymers, and LLDPE.
Even after repeated heat histories, as with regrind, CLARIFEX clarifers do not yellow or darken like many other nucleating agents.
Unpleasant odor and taste problems are eliminated as well, serving to increase the marketability of your molded part or its contents. ,
Less apparent, yet crucial to consumers, is that CLARIFEX clarifiers offer the broadest FDA clearance for retortable food applications.
CLARIFEX 800 melts at polyolefin processing temperatures and is therefore easily incorporated into the polymer. For the first time, processing temperatures can exceed 290C (550F) with no deleterious effects on color or clarity. Due to the excellent handling characteristics of CLARIFEX 800, conventional mixing equipment and powder-to-powder letdown techniques can be employed. |
