A thermoplastic additive designed to add slip, anti-blocking, anti-static and mold release properties. A specially synthesized, nitrogenous organic compound, designed for use as an additive to thermoplastics, to impart improved characteristics such as slip, anti-blocking, anti-static and mold release when high processing temperatures (500-600F) are required. Considered the product of choice for use in polypropylene film, providing superior slip and excellent anti-block characteristics without impairing other important properties, and without chill-roll deposition. CHEMSTAT HTSA #1 has been found effective in a concentration range of 0.05-0.5% for extrusion of film and sheeting. As an aid in mold release, a concentration of 0.125 is suggested. Also been found to be of great value in special polyethylene applications, such as the lamination of polyethylene to cellophane, and where elevated processing temperatures are required |
