Silicone-free defoamer to prevent foam formation during production, filling, and application of solvent-based and solvent-free coatings.
BYK-A 500 displays spontaneous defoaming properties and demonstrates no negative influence on intercoat adhesion when overcoated.
BYK-A 500 is especially suitable for wood and furniture coatings based on glossy polyesters, paraffin-polyesters and UV-curing polyesters.
Even at thin application parameters with curtain coaters, curtain stability is provided.
Good results can also be achieved in epoxies.
Used in non-pigmented wood coatings, a slight turbidity over dark wood could occur. |
