Chemically Surface Modified Products Fillers and Extenders A broad range of chemically tailored ATH products for applications in olefins, acrylics, polyesters, epoxies, PVC, urethanes, and other polymer systems. ATH NYCOAT products are based on a wide selection of ATH substrates: fine ground ATH with average particle size ranging from 8 to 12 microns: super fine ground ATH with average particle size ranging from 3.5 to 6 microns: and precipitated ATH products. Chemical surface modification generally provides improved wet out and dispersion by the matrix resin, increased loading levels, and upgraded mechanical and physical properties. NYCO's chemical surface modification technology further allows custom tailoring performance relative to balancing wetting characteristics and resin reactivity while maintaining moisture levels low enough to preclude drying prior to compounding.
