ACICULITE, acicular aluminum silicate, is a natural mineral of the Sillimanite group that has one of the highest length to thickness ratios of any natural occurring aluminum silicate mineral. Compared to other acicular minerals, such as wollastonite, this material has the following advantages: 1. Stronger and harder characteristics 2. Lower oil aborption 3. Low pH and lower water soluble 4. Greater chemical resistance In addition, it has good electrical properties and is currently available in three particle size classifications. |
