Polyethylene Concentrates-Natural Blowing Agent Additive Concentrate: 25% chemical blowing agent concentrate in LDPE carrier.
It is designed to foam LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE or PP in extrusion or molding applications. The blowing agent decomposes above 300F to give off gas to cause the foaming. In thin sheet where physical properties are not important, A-27524 is sometimes used to foam polystyrene when the small amount of PE carrier resin in the PS does not cause a problem. Some decorative ribbons are extruded with blowing agents to give a rough surface for a different appearance. |
