Aluminum stearate
Synpro Aluminum Stearate LO GEL II Lubricant is characterized by a low melting point and high free fatty acid content, promoting its solubility in solvent systems. Because of these characteristics, LO GEL II is often employed in such applications as crayons, drawing pencil leads and cosmetic sticks. In addition, because of its high free fatty acid content, Synpro Aluminum Stearate LO GEL II is useful in applications requiring an aluminum soap of low gelling power.
Synpro Aluminum Stearate LO GEL II meets the Food and Drug Administration's Code of Federal Regulations under Title 21, Part 181.29: as a stabilizer migrating from food packaging material.
