Wingtack 95 is an aliphatic C-5 petroleum hydrocarbon resin. A light yellow resin, Wingtack 95 provides an excellent balance of tack, peel strength and cohesive strength combined with light color, low odor and low volatility. In addition, it posseses low melt viscosity, low specific gravity and good color stability at compounding temperatures. This resin offers high compatibility with amorphous polypropylene, butyl rubber, EPDM, ethylene-alpha olefin copolymers, waxes, EVA copolymers with <28% vinyl acetate, low MW polyethylene, polyisoprene, and SIS block polymers. It also is generally soluble in organic solvents having low to medium polarity. Wingtack 95 is a tackifier for hot melt and solvent-borne pressure sensitive adhesives, a modifying resin for hot melt adhesives, roadmarking paints, EVA and wax coatings, and sealants, and a processing aid in rubber compounding. |
