Vulcastab LW is recommended for stabilization of latices against fillers, acids and cationic coagulants.
- Vulcastab LW is a powerful stabilizer at room temperature but does not offer significant protection against heat. Its solubility, and with it its stabilizing activity, is reduced as temperature increases.
- Vulcastab LW is the recommended stabilizer to use in all applications which need good stabilization against fillers and chemical coagulants but where the final gelling process depends on heatsensitization or on drying.
- Its applications include heat-sensitive dipping and molding processes, heat-sensitive foamed latex, carpet backings, spreadings, adhesives, sprayable latex compounds, latex/cement compositions and latex binders for fibrous or granular materials.
- Vulcastab LW is non-staining and non-discoloring.
- Vulcastab LW is regulated for use in articles in contact with food as specified under BgVV XXI, Category 1(latex only), Categories 2-4 and "Sonderkategorie" (toys and balloons only).
Vulcastab LW is not regulated for use in FDA food contact applications. |
