Macro Azo Initiators (MAI) in response to the amount of activity involving the synthesis of block copolymers for various applications, including coatings medical devices, compatible agent, the surface reforming agent, paint, medical materials, etc. In respect with production of block polymer, many synthetic methods are known nowadays and among them MAI method is notified. MAIs contain multiple azo groups that can provide initiation points for additional polymerization/block polymerization. Benefits of using Wako MAIs include the facts that: - The range of monomers to be applied is wide and so the molecular design can be made widely by many combinations. (Due to that radical polymerization can be performed) - The block effect of copolymerization is high. - It is easier to produce block copolymers with MAIs than using the anionic polymerization method. The polymer segment is Polyethyleneglycol, which will contribute the following characteristics to the resulting block copolymer: Hydrophilic property, dispersibility, antistatic property, anti-hazing (anti-for) property. |
