Uresolve Blue is an alkaline solvent that will remove polyester urethanes from cable assemblies, aircraft electrical connectors, and electronic modules at room temperature. It can also be used for complete or partial removal of urethane-based conformal coatings from printed circuit boards. Uresolve Blue is the most selective alcohol-based solvent for dissolving urethanes. It is shelf stable (one year in unopened container) and shows much less effect on PVC wire, neoprene, silicones, and other insulating materials than competitive solvents containing chlorinated solvents or acetone. Uresolve Blue was designed to meet the requirements of Mil R83213A, Type 1. A modified version, Uresolve 411, is somewhat stronger, but less selective against vinyl insulation. |
