| Synton PAO 100 is a high viscosity (100 cts) polyalpha olefin fluid, which can be used as a base stock and/or viscosity modifier for a wide variety of engine and industrial lubrication oil products. It is manufactured by the polymerization of alphaolefins. Synton PAO 100 has many benefits including excellent oxidation resistance, extremely low pour points, completely compatible with a wide range of synthetic and mineral base oils, low volatility, high viscosity index and a high flash point. These benefits from using the Synton PAO 100 prove to be advantageous in a wide range of lubricant applications including gear oils, industrial oils and engine oils. Synton PAO 100 can be blended with conventionally refined mineral oils and/or highly refined mineral oils to provide superior properties to the finished lubricant. By blending Synton PAO 100 in combination with the appropriate lubricant base stocks, viscosity can be obtained up to 100 centistokes at 100'C. |
