Anti-Terra-204 |
Solution of a carboxylic acid salt of polyamine amides, electroneutral |
Wetting and dispersing additive to improve pigment wetting and stabilize the pigment dispersion. It is a controlled flocculating agent and is therefore preferably used in primers and undercoats. Anti-Terra-204 creates thixotropy and therefore prevents flooding and floating, settling of the pigments and reduces sagging. The additive can be used to gel organophilic bentonites and to produce pastes with improved flow, processability and storage stability. In comparison to Anti-Terra-203, Anti-Terra-204 can additionally be used in non-polar systems and is compatible with mineral spirits. The lower the polarity of the formulation, the more the thixotropy is increased. The preferred binders are long, medium and short oil alkyds, PVC-copolymers, chlorinated rubber and epoxy. Also in low filled systems the sagging behavior is improved. Also, no negative influence on the water sensitivity of the paint film was observed. When used in anti-corrosion primers, in many cases the protective properties are enhanced. Wetting and dispersing additive to improve pigment wetting and stabilize the pigment dispersion.
