Potters E glass spheres are manufactured from a borosilicate glass composition, similar to fiberglass. E-glass has a refractive index of 1.55. E-glass is recommended for use with polycarbonate, acetal, and PTFE systems and with other alkali-sensitive resins. Compared with A glass, E glass has a higher softening point and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion. |
