Alkyl-modified silicone emulsion based on SF 8843 |
|
Silicone Mold Release Agents Alkyl-Modified all-purpose release emulsion of SF 1080 fluid, found useful for applications where molded parts must be jpainted or otherwise coated without contamination. It contains 50% silicone and is easily diluted with water to working concentrations. Because it is light-sensitive, SM 2154 emulsion may change in color from white to light yellow. Testing has indicated that this color change has no effect on performance in typical uses. Rubber, plastic and metal parts released with GE paintable silicone release agents can be painted with many types of paint after routine cleaning. As is normal with any oil or grease, an extremely heavy application of silicones will tend to reduce paint adhesion and produce some surface defects. Very light, casual contamination in most instances need not be cleaned off for good paintable results. |
