SILRES REN 50 Silicone Resin Solution is a flexible yet economical methyl phenyl silicone resin solution designed for use in heat resistant coatings. Use SILRES REN 50 in conjunction with heat resistant pigments to formulate coatings where corrosion resistance and thermal stability are required over a broad temperature range. Properly formulated coatings using SILRES REN 50 will dry hard, flexible, and tack-free at ambient temperatures. They will gain solvent resistance at 500'F (260'C), and maintain flexibility and film integrity beyond 1200'F (650'C). Where softer, more flexible and economic resins are allowed, use 82% solids SILRES REN 60 or 82% solids SILRES REN 80.
