Silbond H-6C |
Prehydrolyzed ethyl silicate formulated with ethyl alcohol and propylene glycol monoethyl solvents |
The SILBOND H-6C is a prehydrolyzed ethyl silicate binder formulated with ethyl alcohol and additionally, propylene glycol monomethyl ether solvents, rather than with an ethyl alcohol ethylene glycol monoethyl ether solvent combination utilized in some predecessor ethyl silicate products. SILBOND H-6C is designed for use in two package inorganic zinc-rich primers. These primer coatings find application in shipbuilding, offshore drilling, industrial plants, and other areas where high quality corrosion resistance is needed. Other applications for H-6C include investment casting (ceramic shell slurries), and ceramic shapes and coatings. Bulletins describing specific applications, with formulations, are available from Silbond Corporation. |
